BIO

Trinidad Mac_Auliffe was born in Chile and graduated with a BFA from the University Finnis Terrae. She holds an MFA in electronic media and photography from the University of Cincinnati. Her work is rooted in conceptual thinking and research. From early studies in anatomical drawing, Mac_Auliffe moved onto theatrical makeup and drama studies. Each of these disciplines is evident in her digital photography and video work, which has been widely acclaimed for its dramatic flair and profound messaging. Mac_Auliffe exhibits internationally, including in Japan and Chile, and has been shown extensively in prominent US venues including the Carnegie Visual&Performing Arts Center, the Center for Fine Art Photography, the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art and the Wilmer Jennings, Epiphany Gallery, the Agora Gallery in New York City and the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, OH. Numerous publications have featured Trinidad’s work, including Camera Arts, Beyond Race and Nueva Luz, Mac_Auliffe has also written several published articles and reviews. Her work is held in private and public collections worldwide; she is represented internationally by Trunk Images and Agora Gallery in New York City.

Alison Rootberg is an interdisciplinary artist whose focus is in dance and video. She completed her MFA in Dance and Integrated Media at the California Institute of the Arts. Rootberg also has a BFA in Dance and a BS in Inter-Arts and Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She attended the Sydney Kahn Summer Institute at the Kitchen in New York, the Music and Dance Exchange at Dartington College of Art in Devon (United Kingdom), and STEIM in Amsterdam (Netherlands) for a residency in the Electronic Performance Arts. Her work has been presented throughout the United States, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Rootberg is a board member of the New West Electronic Arts and Music Organization (NWEAMO) and the Dance Resource Center (DRC). In addition, she continues to serve as Artistic Director of Kinesthetech Sense, creating new work and touring worlwide.

Margaret Anne Schedel is a composer and cellist specializing in the creation and performance of ferociously interactive media. Her works have been performed throughout the United Stated and abroad. While a DMA candidate in music composition at the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, her interactive multimedia opera, A King Listens, premiered at the Cincinnati Contemporary Arts Center and was profiled by apple.com. She is working towards a certificate in Deep Listening with Pauline Oliveros and has studied composition with Mara Helmuth, Cort Lippe and McGregor Boyle. She serves as the musical director for Kinesthetech Sense and sits on the boards of the BEAM Foundation, the Electronic Music Foundation Institute, the International Computer Music Association, the New West Electronic Arts and Music Organization, and Organised Sound. Her chapter “Electronic Music and the Studio” was recently published in the Cambridge Companion to Electronic Music. Her work has been supported by the Presser Foundation, Centro Mexicano para la Música y les Artes Sonoras, and Meet the Composer. As an Assistant Professor of Music at Stony Brook University, she is Co-Director of Computer Music and a core faculty member of cDACT, the consortium for digital art, culture and technology.

Jennifer Timm_holds a BFA in Drama from the Juilliard School, an MBA with a concentration in Management from the University of Cincinnati, College of Business and a Masters degree in Arts Administration from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. As a TCG New Generations Emerging Leader Grant Recipient, she was involved in all aspects of management at the SITI Company, including budgeting, contract negotiations, board relations, and oversight of the education programs. In addition to her fiscal responsibilities, Jennifer had the opportunity to study performance composition under the tutelage of artistic director Anne Bogart. Fluent in German, Jennifer created commedia dell’arte and performance art productions produced in Berlin, Germany. She directed “A King Listens” a multi-media opera which premiered at Cincinnati’s Contemporary Art Center. She was an artistic collaborator with the Juggernaut Theatre Company, which won Best of the Fringe for “hair blood vinyl” at the First Annual New York Fringe Festival. Jennifer was the first actress to be granted permission after Lily Tomlin to star in “The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life In the Universe” and has been a collaborator and actor for performances at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, and the FOCUS! Festival at Lincoln Center.
