Jxel Rachenberg No dejes que los dias se vayan (Don't Let the Days Slip Away), 2007 Musical Score

No dejes que los dias se vayan is a solo guitar piece created for the Russian guitar player Nedezhda Borislova. The title derives from a poem of the same name by Jorge Bustamente, which can be read between score lines. Since it is an open piece and only the beginning is indicated, the performer may choose to combine portions of the piece, which are demarcated by divisions and Japanese kanji passages. The piece can be finished in any part of the score and the duration depends on the combinations of the performer chooses.

Jxel Rajchenberg is a composer and string musician. He was born in Mexico City, where he continues to live and work. His music--which frequently integrates elements of dance and theatre-- draws largely from the music of indigenous cultures and their understandings of time, life, and death.
