BIO Jim Mansfield is a professional drummer, composer, and educator from New York. He has performed and recorded throughout North America and Europe with some of the most creative artists today including Ray Anderson, Patricia Shih, Tysen & Miller, and David Gould, among many others. He appears on over 40 recordings in electronic/improvised music, jazz, alternative, theatre, and is frequently involved in sessions for TV and film - credits include the motion pictures /Birds of America /(2008 - Starring Hillary Swank, Matthew Perry, Ginnifer Goodwin) and /Skills Like This /(2007 - directed by Monty Miranda); ABC’s /Houston Medical (2002)/, PBS’s /History Detectives/, CNBC, the /WB11 Morning News/ (2005) and many commercials for television, radio, and the internet. Jim also composes for the artist/musician collective Scurravagas, and co-leads the group Sad Android.
