Christa Erickson is Director of the interdisciplinary Consortium for Digital Arts, Culture, and Technology and Digital Arts Studios Director in Art. She teaches and directs digital arts and curates the collaborative student art space dredge which opened in 1998. She also helped to establish a large multi-media classroom and public computer facility on campus. She is an Associate Professor of Art at the State University New York (SUNY), Stony Brook.

As Assistant Professor in Fine Arts at Indiana University in Bloomington (1995-97) she founded the Digital Media Arts area. She directed the collaborative student art site t-h-r-o-b and taught the following courses: Video Art (graduate and undergraduate); Computer Art: Survey and Practice; Computer Art 2: Interactive Media; Graduate Computer Art. She also taught a system wide digital workshop for art faculty summer 1997 and 1998. Christa taught Computing in the Arts courses at the University of California, San Diego (1994-95).
