ASSIGNMENT 2 - Editing Basics DUE 2/26 for discussion

This assignment is to get comfortable with the technical basics of editing with Final Cut Pro. Do what you can artistically with the assignment, but you must use our clips and sound elements ONLY. You may use text that is made with the titling options in Final Cut.

Requirements:

• Must use Final Cut Pro to edit. Your projects can use other systems if you have access to them, but here you need to see what Final Cut Can do and what it cannot.
• Must use the provided elements and THROUGH editing, give them a shape, meaning, and aesthetic. We realize these clips the TAs put together may not be your cup of tea at all, but do the best you can with them. They are in the Assign2 folder in Christa's Public Folder on the Art Volume. Make sure you make yourself a copy of the clips on your own local computer and then disconnect from the crypt.
• You can use any number of the elements provided in any combination, affecting speed, color, layering imags, keying images, filtering and layering sounds, etc. from within Final Cut Pro.
• Put your final exported .mov clip of the editing sequence into the Drop Box on the emediavault (amt318volume/Drop Box) for us to look at.
